Ivy Mine is an Austin-based indie/alternative band composed of Angie Vanegas, Evan Runyon, Jordan Hughes, and Michael Sanders. Their new single “What They Want” is a bold step forward into an expanded sonic palette for the band. With jittery, wiry guitars that never quite settle into a comfortable mode and Vanegas’ searching lyrics, “What They Want” is truly a song for this moment. Vanegas describes the song as evoking “voices of anxiety and hopelessness, and how you can’t let them win, can’t give them what they want.” Carrying momentum from the band’s 2024 debut EP “Eyes On The Exit”, Ivy Mine is busy completing their first full length album, due to be released in spring 2026, and is turning heads and winning fans in Austin’s busy live music scene.
